This policy covers the way in which The Tutor Tree, LLC treats personal information that The Tutor Tree, LLC collects and receives. This includes information related to your past use of The Tutor Tree, LLC products and services. General

  • The Tutor Tree, LLC collects personal information when you register with The Tutor Tree, LLC, when you use The Tutor Tree, LLC products or services, when you visit The Tutor Tree, LLC pages or the pages of certain The Tutor Tree, LLC partners, and when you enter a promotion or sweepstakes. The Tutor Tree, LLC may combine information about you that we have with information we obtain from business partners or other companies.
  • When you register we ask for information such as your name, address, email address, and phone number. Once you register with The Tutor Tree, LLC and sign up with our services, you are not anonymous to us.

Children

  • When a child under age 13 attempts to register with The Tutor Tree, LLC, we will ask the child for his/her parent's contact information so that we may discuss our services with the parent/guardian.
  • The Tutor Tree, LLC will not contact children under age 13 about special offers or for marketing purposes without a parent's permission.


Information Sharing and Disclosure

  • The Tutor Tree, LLC does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or nonaffiliated companies except to provide products or services you've requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:
    • We provide the information to trusted partners who work on behalf of or with The Tutor Tree, LLC under confidentiality agreements. These companies may use your personal information to help The Tutor Tree, LLC communicate with you about offers from The Tutor Tree, LLC and our marketing partners. However, these companies do not have any independent right to share this information.
    • We do give your information to the Tutors that you have agreed to have come to tutor your student so they can fulfill the request.
    • We respond to subpoenas, court orders, and legal process. We respond to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.
    • We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of The Tutor Tree, LLC's terms of use, or as otherwise required by law.
    • We transfer information about you if The Tutor Tree, LLC is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, The Tutor Tree, LLC will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
  • The Tutor Tree, LLC may display targeted advertisements based on personal information. Advertisers (including ad serving companies) may assume that people who interact with, view, or click on targeted ads meet the targeting criteria - for example, women ages 18-24 from a particular geographic area.
